An easy and efficient solution is to use oral devices. FDA (Food and Drugs Administration) has approved more than 40 different devices. They are removable night braces that are used to solve snoring problems and are installed by dentists.
	In worse cases, but always after medical instructions, it's possible to choose to get a surgery (even if the results of this technique are still quite disappointing).
	If snoring is caused by a person's overweight and if the doctor states that that's the only cause for snoring, then following a diet can be the right solution. In fact, fat doesn't only accumulate on our bellies, but it creates a small layer of tissue at the back of our palate, that blocks the airflow when sleeping.
	One of the most recent inventions for solving the snoring problem are the nose patches (both for adults and kids). Thanks to a mechanic principle, they tend to enlarge the nostrils' surface and allow a better night breathing. However, the results are not completely satisfying.
	Another do-it-yourself solution is that to sew on your pajamas a tennis ball: by doing so, you’ll be forced to sleep always on one's side. But this solution doesn't guarantee a complete disappearance of the problem.

 

To limit snoring, some small tricks can be very useful, but the best thing to do is always to ask a specialist for advice to find out which is the best therapy to follow. 

ADVICE:

1. KEEP YOUR IDEAL WEIGHT: even a small overweight can lead to snoring.

2. LIMIT ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION: especially before going to bed, because alcohol leads to a deeper sleep and this favorites snoring.

3. HAVE A LIGHT DINNER: don’t eat big amounts of food nor food that can be difficult to digest. 

4. DON'DRINK HERBAL TEAS NOR CAMOMILLE BEFORE GOING TO BED: they relax your muscles excessively, even those of the pharynx and therefore increase the uvula vibrations (making snoring even noisier).

5. HAVE A CUP OF COFFEE: it's not true that it causes insomnia (it is caused by the amount of caffeine you had during the day). Coffee favorites a less deep sleep, thus less snoring. 

6. DON'T SLEEP ON ONE'S BACK: It makes it easier for the tongue to fall backwards and thus to block the pharynx.

7. TREAT YOUR ALLERGIES: Contact your doctor in case you have allergies that cause nasal congestion. If your nasal congestion is caused by a structural problem of your nose (deviated septum), there are some surgery techniques that can correct it.
